Ya, ignore the serial prefs in WorkBench. They don't do anything! (: Set
the serial baud rate in the program you wan to use.
I've set my at 115200, but I have a GVP I/O extender. I would not suggest
locking it over 57600 (which is high enough for a 28.8).
My modem is the USR V.Everything 33.6.
As for your other problem of only getting 14.4 from your provider - that is
